Heir Audio - new high end custom IEM company - Page 13

Those look amazing it's like art!

Aye, they are gorgeous. Wizard's work continues to impress me.

Are these comfort fit or musicians fit?  They seem to have pretty deep canal entries?

I'm not very well versed with CIEMs, but they look like they go deep.

Other than that, though, they look stunning.  If I make the plunge, I might have to get the same faceplates, but with smoke coloured moulds.

The wizard just finished my ciem and sent me a notification with these pictures attached. I couldn't be happier with the results!

They're actually comfort fit. I can see where your coming from. It does seem a little deep, but on their website it says that the ciem cuts off just before the second bend in the canal (comfort fit) while the musicians fit terminates millimeters after.

Maybe my canals just long. Have to wait until they arrive.

May I ask, which faceplates are those? Doesn't seem like carbon fiber, exotic wood or inlay to me.

Its a "floating logo" with some synthetic material on the faceplate. Its not listed on the website but Dr Moulton offered to "float" the logo in an email.

Just out of interest, if I want to contact them via email, do I contact them via heiraudio@micro-dsp.com or Dr. John Moulton's hotmail?

yup

Ah my email to heiraudio@micro-dsp.com bounced back, I sent it to his hotmail instead.

i think it says on the website not to email the hotmail address. it might be usd for messaging only. i have used the heir audio email a few times and dr moulton has replied a couple of times on that. the rest being answered b someone else but have always had a reply and no bounced mails.

stubzor those look great! i think mine are the same colour (purple something?). can't wait!

You could always send him a PM. The Wizard is on vacation right now as well if I am not mistaken.

One way or the other I am getting my 8.A ordered tonight.

Just hit him up on the standard email guys: heiraudio@micro-dsp.com

I was talking to John and he even replied to me on christmas day within a few hours of me typing.  He was very quick to respond and was very non-biased when comparing iems.  I don't think anyone could go wrong if they were to do business with him.

Wizard,

Is the design and the amount of inlays added to the wood totally random? I realize that there is a disparity of the number and thickness of stripes between some of the timberlines.

An example would be Timbre Line 06010 and Timbre Line 06011.

I'm just about to order the 3.A, does anyone know what socket it uses?

@Ulti - It uses the typical flush socket that westone and the rest use. It uses standard pins and is not recessed. Good choice with that order!

@Underhysteria - Amount of inlays is decided by you and as for the design you need to check with the Wizard to see what can be done, also it is entirely dependent on the shape of your ear.
