Best Headphones 75-100$

Hey everyone! With Christmas quickly approaching I've been looking around for a good pair of headphones to ask for. I intend on using them for primarily listening to music and mabey djing and a few local parties (mabey: music is more important). Again the budget is between 75$ and 100$ or even less if possible. So far I have come across the Sennheiser hd280 pro, Shure srh440, and the Sennheiser hd448. I primarily listen to every genera except country with a large emphasis on electronic music. (I do like bass but not so much that it destroys quality like beats) So if anyone has any suggestions or ideas please tell me!  Thanks!

I really need some opinions/suggestions!

Its a little more expensive, but you should try Hfi580 if you want good bass without sacrificing treble and midrange.

HD448 is a good headphone, with good midrange but relatively weak on bass.

Eh  i really need to stay as near to 75$ as possible. Any thoughts on the shure srh440?

The Sony MDR-V6's are an excellent buy at about $75 (You can get them for cheaper, but it's a little risky, as there are a lot of fakes out there). Some of my favorite headphones ever, actually.

Hmm this is a really tough choice. Im kind of leaning toward the shure's since this thread isnt getting much traffic and i cant find too much info on the hd448's.

Best I've heard in the price range is the Koss Pro DJ 100 for $100. It's best to pair it up with some sort of amp. Even a Fiio E5 would do the trick.

Right now it sounds about perfect with a Sansa Fuze, LOD and the E5. I use mine with the M50 pads to improve the sound and comfort.

I also love the KRK KNS-6400, but it's be terrible for any kind of bass heavy electronic music.

Aurvana Live! is one of the performers in your range, no need for a proper amp. It's one of the most easiest to drive full-size cans on Earth.

Well, I've been using them for nearly 2 years and love them. Haven't found anything I prefer more under $200 that's fairly portable. This new Grado SR-225i and the KRK KNS-6400 has come close.

Here's a review of them I did:

They have a little extra bass and some slightly forward mids. It's a fun sound, but not nearly as forward sounding as my SR-225i. Certainly much less treble!

BTW many Best Buys carry them in the pro audio section. You can try them out and return them easily if you hate them. Best Buy lets you check local stores for stock.

Wow thanks tdock! I was really looking for a studio type headphone with a bump in the bass! And also would you really recomend the m50 pads on them.

M50 pads are worth every penny for them. They run between $15-$19 for a pair. I got mine from Sweetwater.com

Despite what some say, I don't suggest them with really tiny portable players without some amping. I've tried it and they're just not the same.

I wouldn't recommend the Shure's. The bass does not go deep and is shy to neutral at best and they are very uncomfortable stock.

The Koss Dj100 can be found for $70 at amazon currently.
