Hifiman HM-101 Linux Support

Thread Starter

As the title says, I'm looking to know if anyone tested the HM-101 on a linux OS, or if there is anyone confirming if it's compatible without issues.

It's based on the plain ol' PCM2702 chip, so it's fully supported.

Ok, so I supose that the same is valid for the Fiio E7, right?

Concerning portable DACs, to use mainly with laptops & desktops @ work, which would be best, putting the budget up to US$ 100, allowing the e7 in?

(obs: Since I know nothing about DACs, any recomendation beyond these two is more than welcome.

The amp part is not(i think) essential right now since I wouldn't be using any high-impedance phones, only simple IEM, like the Senn's CX500, and in a possible future, who knows, an IE6 or an Etymotic HF5. The Idea is to bypass the Onboard DAC at the work's pc, and so I has to be linux compatible.
