I changed it, but you caught my error in time, haha. And the LCD-4 will be amazing!!!

You don't need to be a Basshead to realize the HD800 are bass light...Adequate for you (and many others), but not everyone that finds them bass-less is a bass head. :D

The LCD-5 will surely top it.  cool.gif

My vote goes to the LCD-6's. They'll be like the K1000 and feature an adjustable soundstage, while still being a headphone, and not an ear speaker. cool.gifcool.gif

I auditioned the HD800 using orchestral pieces and the bass is more than enough for the classical genre so I'm quite happy with it. biggrin.gif

But the soundstage is just intriguing. I haven't heard a headphone with a soundstage so wide and spacious.

This, I agree with. Off of the Liquid Fire and the Manley Stingray, it's breathtaking. But the bass, for some reason, I'm just not feeling it. Maybe it's because I was in a meet environment?

I think you just need more bass for your favourite genres. :)

Though Sennheiser has a new pair coming.  Who knows what it is?  Maybe it will be my next object of lust.

This made laugh.

Hmm. I don't know. I'll listen again when I head down to ALO next week....

Lushness, that's a good word and what I meant when I said "fullness/body/creaminess". From the impressions that I've read the LCD-3 comes close on the right setup, perhaps with the right music as well.

Yep, that's why I'm so eager to go and audition the LCD-3's.

i dont have a collection, just one supreme headphone will suppress my demand for good music, the HD800!!!!

when im going to move to work in europe im going to buy them, aside a yamaha r6 after a long year working!!!hahaha

maybe is just a bit early , but wich amplifier do you think , experienced headfiers, will drive them properly within 1000 euro?there are so much out of there.

phonitor seems a universally well acclaimed product, even they are not cheap.

I'd like to own the following:

-TakeT H2+

-Sony MDR-R10 bass light or bass heavy

-Stax Omega (the original, not the O2).

-Sennheiser HE90 Orpheus

-Grado HP1000 HP2 with upgrades from Joe

-Audio-Technica ATH-W10VTG and LTD

I was recently able to cross the Sony Qualia 010 off that list, and I've been enjoying it immensely. My next headphone purchase will likely be the SR-009. Just can't muster enough enthusiasm for the LCD-3 to warrant buying one at the moment

If you just want the amp (concerning the Phonitor) and not the crossfeed and what not you could save by buying the Auditor instead. Same amp from what I understand.
