Audio Technica ATH-AD700's vs. Audio Technica ATH-A900

Okay, so about a year ago I bought myself the Audio Technica ATH-AD700's from amazon. I wanted a good set of cans for in home use. I didn't want to spend more than about $120, so the AD700's looked like a good choice. The reviews were solid as well. Overall, I like them. The build is nice and they're really comfortable. The only thing left to be desired is the bass. It's there, but not enough for my liking. I want something a bit deeper if you take my meaning. Also the open backed design causes sound to leak out quite a bit.

So, that led me to finding the ATH-A900's. The main difference with them it seems is that they have a close backed design which I've been told keeps in sound well and causes them to have a deeper sound. This seems to be what I'm looking for, but I'd some opinions before I go ahead with the purchase. I'm not much of an audiophile, so I'm not super picky. I just want a set of cans that are going to satisfy my desires. I was told that this is a good place to come to for advice on headphones, so here I am, lol. Someone who has had personal experience with both of these headphones would be awesome to hear from.

Thanks for the advice in advance everyone.

Heya,

Here's your next headphone.

All the good things you already enjoy in your current headphone, plus bass (more so than even the vanilla A900). Go X.

Very best,

Wow, those definitely sound like what I'm looking for. They're a bit pricey though. Once my budget allows it, I'll definitely pick them up. Thanks man.
