Triple.Fi 10 Cable replacement

Hey guys,

I'm sure you're all sick of questions about the Triple.Fis, but this should be pretty quick. I really love the Triple.Fis but I'm not a huge fan of the cable (wouldn't say that I hate it, but it could be better), so I was looking to replace them. However, I can't justify spending >$100 on a Null Audio cable considering I paid less for the IEMs themselves.

I was looking to keep my budget at less than $50 and looked for aftermarket cables on eBay. I was wondering if any of you guys have used any of these cables and if so what your thoughts were:

1. Jaben ES8 (can get 2 for $48, but I heard that the construction and weave were only ok)

2. The "Crystal" Cable (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Crystal-Upgrade-Cable-Ultimate-ears-/270593811024?pt=Other_MP3_Player_Accessories&hash=item3f00a5e250#ht_1062wt_956)

3. This one (http://www.ebay.com/itm/FURUTECH-Ultimate-Ears-upgrade-cable-UE-triple-fi-10-/220904687152?pt=Other_MP3_Player_Accessories&hash=item336ef20630#ht_2742wt_1189) (haven't heard the greatest reviews about this one either)

I also know about the Westone cable adjustment, but I'm a bit wary of cutting off a bit of the connector -- I've heard one or two stories about this going wrong and I'm not exactly the best with DIY.

Thanks!

I'm looking for the same thing, as hanging me headphones for a few days has done little to improve the new cable bends. Personally, I want one like the Etymotic Mc5 which is memory free, but the ones your posted look like they aren't bent either. Maybe just a fresh, unwrapped cable shipped in a large container would fix this problem with new earphones...

I have been waiting for this:

I got the FURUTECH ones. Absolutely no difference in sound quality compared to stock cables (stock black straight cable, black right angled stock and clear stock cable). This is amped and unamped from a iPod 2g and my PC.

No complaints about build quality either. It's lighter, more flexible and thinner then the stock cable. If you do consider the FURUTECH, get the black version. I got the white version and it looks hidious connected to the TF10s.

I've been waiting for the FiiO's  from the first time I saw them.  They make good products at reasonable prices imo.

Check the FS forum you can catch a Null audio cable here and there.  Chris_Himself makes silver cables for UE TF10 for about $60 I think, people seem to like them.

The FiiO one looks pretty good -- from that link though it seems like it's already been shipped to distributors (like Micca Store). Is there any other update on them?

Sweet! I didn't fiio was making one of those.

I had the jaben ones. They were great about replacing it but the prongs were totally mismatched on the first one I got. I'd wait for the fiios!

Didn't realize Fiio started making earphone cables. I'd like to hear some impressions if anyone gets a chance to try them with the TF10.

If anyone knows where they can be purchased I'd love to know. It almost looks like it's made of mylar like the Etymotic Mc5 cable, which is the best memory-free cable I've used, as it doesn't hold kinks and bends at all.

Seems like you can buy them here: http://treoo.com/store/index.php/main/fiio-rc-ue1-replacement-cable.html

Not sure if they ship from Singapore though.

And here's a review: http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/showthread.php?t=3459195&page=3

I'm interested, especially for <$50

I know this was a semi-dead thread, but figured enough people looking would care - The FiiO cable is now available in the US:

@ $28 it seems like a great price, but we'll see. I bit for $33 shipped as my original cable is finally failing after ~1.5 years (at the ear bend, soo annoying).
