hey all;

so i just bought some Grado SR80i's on ebay and i HATE them. i'm pretty devastated. i didn't do much research ahead of time. now that i have read up a little bit, i realize it would have been better to grab something... else. oops.

i listen to a lot of dubsteb, ambient beats, folky experimental **** [Skrillex, Sigur Ros, M83, Broken Social Scene].

i want to be able to have warm, bassy, clear sound running them just from my mp3 player or computer.

[and i don't want to spend more then $150 if poss].

i would love your suggestions and thoughts!!!!

NEVERMIND!

I modified my sr80's according to the instructions on Bilavideo's super helpful how-to thread; opened up the cups, punched little holes in the whatchamacallit.

and THEY SOUND AWESOME. bassy, warm. amazing.

and also, i feel like a badass.

thxxx for existing.

Heya,

Panasonic HTF600 has everything you're looking for at a price that will make you wonder why it sounds so good. Price, in this case, does not indicate quality. It's an excellent headphone. Review in my signature.

Other options:

Beyer DT770 PRO

Shure SRH750 DJ

Ultrasone HFI 580 or DJ1

Sony XB500

Very best,
