First, I should note that I auditioned these both straight out of the box, without any break-in time and then later after 53 hours of break-in. Recent scientific studies have shown definite...
A very all-round headphone for me. Just the right one to take on the go or on holiday. Also as a DJ, nice noice isolation. Very durable so you don't have to wonder if it will break if you throw...
This quick review is done after a few hours of listening. I bought them from B&H for the decent sum of 150$. If you've done your research you'll find out that Ultrasone HPs are known for their...
I auditioned the SRH-1840 straight out of the box, and was unsatisfied with the sound, so I decided to give them a period of break-in. Recent scientific studies have shown definite differences...
As time has gone on i've noticed less and less house music being produced and now i can't name any house tunes that have been released within the last 3 years. So what happened?... what happened to the kinds of tunes you'd hear on Ministry of Sound compilations in the 90s? early 2000s? and why have electro, dnb and dubstep pretty much taken over the electronic music scene?
What happened to piano tunes, uplifting vocals, funky guitar chords, disco-like filter sounds, i have no idea what the heck i am talking about but why can't we see any music like that nowadays? Hopefully someone knows what i'm talking about.
There's still plenty of stuff (bolded) like this out there. Especially in the DubStep scene. Gemini comes to mind for Piano, and there's a lot of uplifting DnB and DubStep vocal stuff.
Since your question is about House a lot of House has evolved (or devolved) into Electro House. Artists like Deadmau5 and Feed Me still make House, but it's Electro-y.
I think more what you're looking for is stuff like what was hitting the UK Hardcore scene a few years ago. Very uplifting, 4 on the floor, tons of good piano/guitar riffs, etc.
This was a favorite of mine in 2010. The Hardcore mix is better, IMO, but the speed of Hardcore isn't for everybody. You might want to check out the 'Dance' genre.
