Discussion about National Hockey League season. Favorite teams? Maybe players? Something to shout out?

This is your place, hockey maniacs!

By myself, I've been a Rangers fan since my birth. Nowadays I like Gaborik the most in NYR. Best goalie in the league obviously Kari Lehtonen, proud to be Finnish!

Keep it alive!

52 yo Sabres fan here.....was so excited about the new owner and attitude but they have been poopin the bed as of late. A few injuries both physical and mental....Ryan Miller is way too worried about his hot actress wife on the left coast to get it together. There has been trade speculation involving him and Ryan from the Ducks. I am now living in the south but have center ice on directv (alot cheaper than NFL ticket). I think Lindy Ruff has got to go myself and take Reghier with him.

Wow a hockey fan in Beaufort, lol.  Although, I did play a few in-line tournaments there as a kid in some dude's front lawn (not sure that rink still exists) so I guest there's a few.  Wings fan here but I grew up watching the Devils.  I just can't really support them anymore with their personnel decisions in the past few years (since they lost the cup to Ray Bourque, really). Actually, it makes since cause the next season I saw the Wings at the Joe on opening day and Datsyuk pretty much single-handedly made me care about the Wings.  Ever since I've become more of a Wings fan and less of Devils fan, but I'd still like to see NJ turn things around and be successful again.

Just like to say that it's finally a great time to be a lifelong Bruins fan.

(Well, the Neely/Borque era was great, too, but..this team...I love this team so much.)

^^Quite the turn around after the slow start they had in October.

Well, Tim Thomas is a great goalie too, but Lehtonen has been my idol since I heard him. He plays on butterfly style (goes down on the ice a lot). Thomas played in Finland too, and actually without being here he won't be in NHL! He plays on stand up style.

Finland is a goalie factory.

Im a keeper by myself too ;)

My team, unfortunately for me, is the Columbus Blue Jackets.  I'm from Columbus and have liked them since their inception.  Seeing as the Blue Jackets have been mostly hopeless, I also have to root for my childhood favorite team: Pittsburgh Penguins.  Favorite player = Ryan Kesler (Former Ohio State Buckeye)

Seriously. After watching the Red Sox epic fail, and then going on to screw Tito over, that October was killing me.

Did anyone watch the Boston and Vancouver game? What a game!!! It had everything from hard hits, fights, penalties, end to end action, great goaltending, exciting goals, and even a penalty shot. Best game I've seen so far this year. Luongo didn't even play this game but he was still being heckled by the fans. The most entertaining rivalry in the NHL at the moment. Vancouver got the win in Boston btw.

Boston Vancouver rivalry?!....really?.....My Sabres are in absolute chaos...haven't won back to back games since Nov. something has got to give and I still think it should be GM and head coach. Boston is looking unstoppable right now...great time to be a Bruins fan but Toronto is getting thier act together and look better than they have in decades. Still alot of hockey left!!!

Blue Jackets fired their coach yesterday.  Now if they just acquire a top tier goalie and massively upgrade their entire defense, they might be respectable.

I assume you didn't watch the finals last year. The rivalry was created during that series and carried over to the last game they played against one another this season. Boston definitely has the physical advantage over Vancouver.
