A suitable mp3 player for Shure SE425

Hi,

I recently bought a pair of Shure SE425 iem's.I've been using them with an old 4G Ipod classic + fiio e5 amp for a few weeks now.Although I'm reasonably satisfied with the current config, I'm looking to upgrade my mp3 player.

I wonder if a the newer Ipods these days are the best choice as per sound quality. The music I listen to is mostly mp3 files from 192 to 320kbps.I need a player which has 32gb+ of memory which would pair well with my 425's.Cowon's or Sansa's etc maybe?

Any advice is appreciated,Thanks in advance.

I will recommend the Sony X1060 for SE425 and it sound better (crisp, clear and more detailed with better instruments separation and present wider soundstage) than iPods because it has built in digital AMPs. Few more DAPs are recommended like S:Flo2, HM-601, HM-602, J3, X7, Fuze and they all has great soundquality.
