Need opinion on 2.0 speakers + amplifier. Max 200$.

Hello all!

I need some feedback for my purchase, so i registered here as this seems to be the right place. I need a 2.0 or a 2.1 audio system to use in my room for music (not just music, of course, but mainly), so i started to do some research. I found out that the Klipsch Promedia woulb be a good choice, but as i can't get it in Portugal, i immediately started to look for alternativies. And as we don't have much offer here in Portugal, i limited my options down to this.

Here is what i found:

If you gonna go 2.0 all the way with T-Amps best to hit slightly more efficient ones and/or ones that can hit lower frequencies tongue_smile.gif

 

If the senior SS-B3000 is available where u at that would be an option ^^

I have owned and set up several TA2020s with various speakers and my own set up are TA2020 + 89dB Polk Audio M3s and they do startingly well for the $$ hehe

I searched for the SS-B3000 on Sony's site but couldn't find it. In Portugal, they are only selling the SS-B1000 for 104€. :\

However, i don't think i need speakers as bigger as the SS-B1000 as they will be placed 1 to 2m away from the ear.

Hmm i am familiar with mostly UK stuff for Europe so check if they ship stuff like Wharfedale Diamonds, Tannoy Mercurys, Mission MX1, Monitor Audio BX2, etc to where u at ^^

What i could find in Portugal:

So, it now comes down to just to options: JBL Control one OR this Wharfedale Diamond 10.0. :)

The jbls are excellent speakers, but they do lack bass you would really need to pair them with a sub so if you don't plan on using a sub go with the wharfedales.

Thanks! I also found these: http://www.whathifi.com/review/q-acoustics-2020i at 200€ here in Portugal. They seem to be highly rated. It is +50€ then the Wharfedale...
Anyone tested this ones?
