Need good low costing headphones for gaming and a variety of music.

Thread Starter

I am looking for a somewhat decent pair of headphones for around $40. I know I wont get amazing quality but I am looking for what the best I can get for around that amount is.

I will be using it for mostly gaming but I really do enjoy a variety of music such as blues, classical, orchestra and I even find myself listening to quite a bit of video game soundtracks new and old.

Either closed or open headphones are good but I would like to have over the ear if possible. The only equipment i re1ally have is a xonar dg sound card so I don't have anything too great at the moment.

Some of the headphones I've been looking at are these. I have done a little research on each but I am still not too great with the audio stuff so I need a lot more advice. Any other suggestions would be great as well.

1. JVC harx700

2. Panasonic RP-HTF600

3. Superlux HD 681

Panasonic RP-HTF600-S, look no further,

Someday in the future you can spend $20-$25 for Beyerdynamic EDT 200 Velour ear pads, they fit the RP-HTF600-S.
