SRH840 and Android Players

I bought recently a SRH840 and I kind of sold my iPod, my question is; the quality of the sound of android players are any worse than  the iPod Touch 4GND? I dunno which section to post this, because is Headphone related but I think is more about audio-source.

I normally download musics with 320kb/s rate, they'll sound exactly the same even with another hardware, probably? I heard that some cellphones (Cheap android versions) have some bad music software processing, so sounds worse.

The brand of my cellphone is Samsung (GT-I5500YKBZTO, AKA Samsung Galaxy 5)

Just curiosity tho.

Thanks.

The majority of Android phones skimp pretty badly on quality audio, nevermind lower end Android phones. The only ones that are considered fairy good are those with a Wolfson WM8994, which a developer named supercurio has written an app to take advantage of, called Voodoo. Most of the phones which are compatible with Voodoo are previous gen Galaxy S/Nexus S phones (I have a Nexus S myself with Voodoo, the improvement is amazing), whereas Samsung's newer phones once again resort to lower quality Yamaha parts.

As for the iPod Touch 4G, Apple has used the same Wolfson part in the 2G/3G iPhone/iPod Touch I believe, but no longer uses it on the 4G. I'm guessing the iPod Touch will still sound better than your phone, but not by a very significan margin that can't be offset with good headphones and music.

What MP3 player do you recommend, which will take the best sound quality of my SRH840?
