Portable, noise-isolating headphones for Dental drilling

New member here and I'm interested in purchasing my first set of high-quality headphones. Been reading up a lot on here and have learned a lot about the audiophile world. Wanted to get some headphone recommendations from you guys based on my needs:

- Portable, lightweight, comfortable, closed back headphones with great noise-isolating features. I'm a dental student and so of course do a lot of drilling, and with 125 classmates the lab can get LOUD, and so the headphones need to have these features.
- Mostly listen to hip-hop, pop, dance, and 80's-90's, prefer clear, crisp SQ with solid hitting bass
- Music will be played 100% of the time from my iPhone/laptop, won't ever be using an amp
- Budget is up to $250

Thanks guys.

IEMs, headphones just can't touch IEMs as far as isolation goes. Most headphones have active noise cancellation which colors the sound. Klipsch S4s are decent and they do bass well, maybe that.

You could get custom IEMs.  Fidelity Custom (formerly Livewires) has customs for right around $250:

I actually own a pair of the Klipsch S4s and although they do a pretty decent job, IEMs aren't that comfortable for me and I'm always having to adjust them around because they fall out. Looking for a closed on ear solution instead because I need something that will stay solid on my head and not get in the way.

Personally, I've used the Etymotic Mc5 while getting a tooth filled, and it did almost nothing, as a lot of the sound from the drill was conducted through my jaw to my ear. Etymotics are known for having some of the best, if not the best isolation. I guess if you're the one doing the drilling it should be no problem though. As far solid bass, comfort, and isolation, I find that the Klipsch Image X10 works quite well, though the Etymotic beats it by a bit in the isolation department. Good bass and comfort though, very small, and easy to drive.

Etymotic, best for isolation:

Klipsch, bass and clarity, minuscule size:

Problem contacting server: double post.

...besides that, it looks like most of us have missed the point as the OP pointed out in the post below:

Headphones, not IEMs.

Thanks for the advice, but like I said I'm not looking for any IEMs.
