Hey everyone!

 

Im new to the HeadFi, but I just got a new pair of Grado Headphones, and I love em a lot.  So Im really trying to get an impression of other Grado owners opinion of them.  So I was wondering what everyones favorite genre is to listen to with them!  Let me know what you think guys, thanks!

Not sure how you would define Modern versus Classic Rock - since both encompass so many styles and genres. 

 

But somewhere between the two, and Punk. 

 

I think they are great for Jazz as well.

I don't see Metal in your genre list. Is that covered under modern rock? I love listening to thrash, progressive, NWOBHM on my Grados.

I couldn't vote, I love jazz, modern/classic rock, small-composition classical (cello suites, chamber music, etc), and coffeehouse on my SR60's. I love Cello music and Jazz the most

Yes it does, Obey!

 

Its funny, I guess I grouped the most popular genres together under the Modern and Classic Rock, but it was what I imagined were the subgenres of those genres all benefitted from the same sonic treatment (whereas something like R&B would definitely not benefit)

I like my SR-80is with modern rock (including metal, which I would have listed as its own category) and bluegrass best.  I liked jazz, folk, and country on them as well, but my HD-600s are better for those genres.  Hopefully I'll fairly soon be upgrading to the SR-325i/is for an even more aggressive presentation.
