Eddie Current Vs Woo

I am looking for an amp to connect to the Smyth realizer. SQ is, of course a priority, but a wide and deep soundstage is a close second on my list. I am considering the Eddie Current Zana Deux and the Woo WA 5 LE. Can anyone who has listened to both tell me which of the two best suits my needs? I might also consider the Cavalli amp if the waiting list is not too long.

Thanks.

If you're willing to go used the ECZDSE (whoa lots of letters) is available for a pittance these days.  Saw one going for $1200 with tubes.  Great with the HD800 as I'm sure many others will tell you.  Haven't heard the LE, but the Woo 5 was also a very solid amp with the HD800.  Why not try checking out this thread?

sigh... first world problems.  i wish i had the problem of picking between the WA5LE, Cavalli LF, and Zana Deux.  I had the ZDSE and thought it was a very good amp but of course, it was the best amp i tried. Sorry i am zero help!

Oh, and the Cavalli has one big plus in my book: resale value.  Demand is high, supply is low (being done in runs with not much stock in between) and I have never seen one in the for sale forums, where I have seen many Woo 5/LEs and ZD's.  Just something to think about.  (This may also say something about customer satisfaction with the LF.)

Thanks Radio_head and caracara08. I would love to get a used ECZDSE for $1200. My wife would appreciate it greatly. My creative dissembling usually halves the price of my audio equipment, and $600 would be acceptable to her  :)

Not a knock to the Cavalli, but it is the newest of the bunch and there's always a lot of demand for new products.  That isn't saying there's anythig wrong with it, but 2-3 years out, used ones will turn up.  Just how things are; it has nothing to do with quality.

I've only briefly listenend to the Woo.  I don't have a firm opinion, but can't say I found anything wrong with it.

I've had a Zana for almost three years.  I still love it.

You probably can't go wrong with any of them.  Look for used just to save a few dollars.  Pick up a used Zana if you can - they're wonderful headphone amps and preamps

I have both LF and zdse, I like the later better. However, Build quality for zdse is not the same level as the well built LF at least mine looks like so. Don't know if zd shares the same design as zdse which sounds much better than my another very good amp lakers v200(1200$) .
