Anybody know where would be a place to pick one up in Toyko? Is the price set at 350,000 yen? Thanks in advance :)

Yodobashi Camera in Akihabara has them, on display too.

Stop by the Shinjuku 7-11, grab a slurpee and enjoy the listen!

Is there any concern about stax products with regard to what happened at Fukushima?

I haven't noticed anything, but my pet goldfish looks somehow different.

No

Another option is Yamagiwa in Akihabara.  I have always had good deals and sales experiences there.  One big perk of Bic & Yodabashi in Shinjuku is Sushi Go Round.  From Keio Department Store head towards the big KFC sign and hang a right.  Best kai-ten south of Hokaido and so reasonable.

Seriously, I have no idea where the Stax factory is located and I am just looking for an approximation since, as you may know, certain things came to the US from Japan a couple months ago with a too high level a radiations...

Could you be more specific?

Not sure anyone can give you a clear answer. All I know is Stax works with local businesses to manufacture its gear, Stax is based in Saitama, just north of Tokyo, so hundreds of miles from fukushima. But seriously, the main concern is the food chain. If manufactured parts have significant radiation level, it's not just Stax you will need to be worried about! I find this inquiry borderline paranoid ;)

Do you plan to eat the leather?

Wait you're telling me you didn't know? The stax factory is actually located underneath Fukushima. The headphones only sound so good because the drivers are highly irradiated. Also the pads are exceptionally soft since they use leather from mutated cows.

I heard the irradiated 009s have unusual decay in the notes.  The notes almost seem to glow in the air.
