What's the difference?

I've been using ear buds and in-ear headphones practically my whole life. I've never owned a full size pair of headphones my whole life. So what's the difference? If i were to buy a fullsize pair of cans should i be expecting a whole new level of sound performance and quality?

Yep. Thats what i noticed when used Iems and my full size cans. 

More soundstage on full size headphones.

The most noticeable differences will probably be bass impact and soundstaging.  A lot of differences in audio become very subtle, though.
