Price is not a concern. Which of the two look better and why?

Philips O'Neill "The Snug" or Frends "the Classic"

Both have 40MM drivers

Has anyone heard of either anyway??

Uhhh, I have no idea on sound since I've never even heard of the two before but the first one looks better as far as style is concerned smily_headphones1.gif

Thanks!

What i should have written was which of the two look like they would be better, sound/spec wize?

Style is not so important to me. Hopefully someone has experience with one or both :)

Never heard of the second brand, but Phillips does make a few decent headphones.  Based on that alone, I'd probably buy the first pair.  The second looks like it might be a bit more comfortable (around ear instead of on ear).

The provided specs really don't give much of an impression of how good they are, and a lot of that is subjective to begin with, so it would be helpful to know what your music tastes are.

You can probably get much better headphones for the price though.  I would suggest looking at the mega portable headphone review thread here: http://www.head-fi.org/t/433318/shootout-96-portable-headphones-reviewed-v-moda-m-80-added-11-27-11

My Grado 125's were sent last week for repair, those are my main ones, but don't know what it's gonna cost or how long it will be.

I appreciate everyones opinion!

Do you generally like the Grado sound signature? The SR60i may just be for you then. Make sure to do your research though.

I listen to practically everything - that sounds so cliche though. Bass important. Love female vocalists and crisp highs as well.

Because my only real headphone experience was with Grado, i wanted to try another sound. Im just beginning.

what a great thread! Thanks for the link. Reviewing the info it seems the Sony MDR-V6 is an excellent value. However i tend to shy away from sony for their mass consumerism...that does look like a set worth checking out tho.

Sony fortunately is a decent headphone and audio company. They have some over priced stuff for sure, but all and all, they're pretty good.
