Best 200$ Headphones for PC Gaming and Computer FLAC/320 mp3 files - Page 3

I hate to throw in another headphone option since DT990 seems like a great choice, but I just want to throw in DT770 Pro 80 ohms.

The lower impedance is easier to drive and I head they have excellent bass (I have DT770 Premium 32 ohms and am quite happy with the bass, the Pro 80 Ohms should have a little more bass than mine).  The only drawback being that they are closed, so you will lose out on some of the soundstage, although I find mine to have adequate soundstage for gaming.  Being closed phones is not all bad though, the bass is excellent

Now the best part: I have seen these recently on the For Sale/Trade forum for just over $100.

I have not heard DT990s to compare, just throwing my experience out there.  Not sure what sound card you would want with them, but should be easier to drive than DT990?

Edit: There was also a thread somewhere for basshead phones in the ~$200 price range that I read a couple weeks back.  The member who made it concluded that their favorite basshead phones were Dennon D2000.

The ear pads are replaceable, if you are worried about that. There are (fake and real) leather ear pads available, and also the pads of the DT770 can be used - those look similar, but are more isolating, increase the amount of bass, however they make the mids worse.

By the way, I listened to the mp3 you linked with a DT770 Pro (250 Ohm), which probably does not have more bass than the DT990 (but it is different, and more of a deeper subwoofer-like bass), and I did not find the bass lacking.

I'm sure your definition of "lacking" is diffrent than mine :P my miles davis tributes blew me away with that song's bass, im sure these wont , but hopefully they might get close with the zo2!

I already have my Basshead needs with my TFTA's xb1 (bassiest iem even made)

but i still love bass and still want be "blown away" by that songs bass for example, which isint hard to do because that song's bass is HUGE at the time i linked it..

so i guess it would be logical to get the 990s which are open since i already have the bassiest in ears ever xD
