What is your Money-Spent to Post-Count ratio on Head-fi?

Ooh, this is not pretty.

Ratio:  9.77

I guess it's not much per post, but $9000 is a lot to spend on headphones.

EDIT:  I have of course sold a LOT of stuff over the years, so I've made back most of it, but still....

So, I guess I'd better get my post count up, so I get more bang for my buck. 

Posts: 506 (as of this one)

Spendings: $84 (AD700) + $250 (Stax Lambda + SRD-7/SB) + $36.50 (HTF600) = $370.50 gross spending

-$25 (selling the AD700 at a major loss, mostly thanks to a major $25 shipping cost) = $345.50 net spending

Ratio: 0.7322134387351779 gross, 0.6828063241106719 net

Actually, I'm surprised I'm already past 500 posts right now. I'm not one to pay attention to post count.

Still, that's quite a low ratio...but it's about to get thrown past 1.0 once I drop up to $500 on some more Stax gear soon. (And then dip below a 1.0 ratio again when I sell off my current Stax gear to offset the cost.)

EDIT: Wait a minute! I forgot to include my sources! (Probably because I would have got them regardless of Head-Fi or not. I want their gaming features.)

That's another $190 for the Auzentech X-Fi Prelude (it was new PC build time four years ago and I didn't predict how fast this stuff would depreciate), $90 for an Auzentech X-Fi Forte, $10 for shipping to trade the Forte for a Creative X-Fi Titanium HD...so another $290. That's $660.50 gross, $635.50 net.

Also, my post count's increased slightly to 509. That makes the ratios:

-1.24852652259332 net

So I'm actually over $1/post right now, without even having spent that $500 yet, and all chiefly because I didn't want to wait on what seemed like the best gaming sound card out on the market at the time. (Well, it was the first non-Creative-built X-Fi, pitched as having audiophile-grade components, and it still works well to this day. Only got a PCIe sound card for the sole reason of moving the Prelude to an older desktop.)

Spendings: $105 (HD438), $92 (SR60 + $15 worth of mods), $105 (Ety HF5), $90 (Little Dot 2+), $54 (Fiio E7), $52 (Sansa Clip+). Totals up to $513.

Ratio: 513/343 = $1.51

I might have the highest ratio. Ive been lurking around these forums for a long time, just started to post quite recently. so here goes:

Total expenditure (phones +amps) = $1085

Total post count= 25

ratio = 1085/25 = 43.4

Damn! I gotta get active and post more...

Total post count: 2437

Ratio = 1250/2437 = 0.51

I guess I'm such a "bang-for-the-buck"! O_o That or being a basshead is generally lighter on your wallet! :P

It helps that there's plenty of cheap headphones that appeal to bassheads. HTF600 and XB500, for instance.

But if it's detail and clarity that one craves...well, good luck finding an electrostatic system that doesn't cost a lot. Even $500 tends to be small change in that field.

I'm at about 1:1 right now. 

I expect that will shift drastically by this time next year (actually - given my current post rate - maybe not that much, but the amount spent will shift drastically)
