Upgrade to Audio Engine A5

Hey Everyone,

I currently use the Audio Engine A5s with my desktop and use the Creative Fatal1ty Sound card

I was wondering if you guys knew of a good upgrade within 500-600 dollars.

I really don't feel the need for a Sub. The A5's provide enough kick already with my neighbors already hating them :(. I really don't watch any movies and game game with a headset, so I don't feel the need for surround sound.

I mostly just want them for listening to music!

Maybe I should upgrade my sound card? I am not sure

Thanks!

It's a bit more than your budget, but if you want a real upgrade, the Epoz Aktimates are supposed to be excellent. The 'minis' are around $700.

Other than that (because it's an ipod dock thingy like the A5's) it's a big wide world of separate amps and speakers. I wouldn't get studio monitors, as the bass will never compare the A5s.
