DT880 leaking too much

Hey guys,

I have a pair of really nice Beyerdynamic DT880 600ohm (driven by a a FUBAR IV Plus) that I intended to use at work. However, my workmates are complaining that too much sound is leaking, so unfortunately I need to move to closed cans :(

Ideally, I'd like to stay as close as possible to the DT880 both in terms of build (these are incredibly comfortable!) and sound signature.

Any recommendations? Budget is quite limited at the moment, I won't be able to do much beyond $300, and even that is pushing it.

Cheers,

sgomes

I think the DT770 is your answer. I've owned both and they share many similarities.

Thanks, Mitsu! Sounds like the best option, and it ends up not maxing out my budget :)

i entirely disagree with the leaking too much sound thing.   I listen to trance and just got the beyerdynamic DT880 pro.....  I would take these to a corner of the library any day.   Also there are "talking floors" at the library, so this would be fine.  Maaaybe if you were sitting at the same table as me, I would turn down the volume from my max listening volume....

I'm not denying that you can't hear it, but it's not loud at all enough to be annoying to people who are walking past your table or even 2 tables away from you at all.  I doubt you can hear from 15-20 feet at all and I think that's low enough for me to even wear in a relatively quiet setting

Instead of buying something new, look at this:
