The headphone plug on my new headphones seems to be bent at the base. Is this cause for concern?

Does it work perfectly?

If yes, then no.

I had this several times on different cables, too. The sound quality wasn't affected by it though and there's nothing else to worry about.

Now you have a good excuse to get your headphones recabled... :)

To me, its not that simple. My previous Grados broke because the plug pulled right out of its base. Is this a normal occurrence?

My problem with this is that it was like this right out of the box. An exchange costs me $3 and two weeks of time.

If it's not broken then... don't... repair it?

I don't even see where it's bent. If it works, don't worry about it.

I do worry that a bent plug is more probe to breakage.

I mean, maybe if you're violent with the plug and if it's that much of a concern to you then go ahead and replace it.

Well, in the end, I'm just wondering, is this common?

If it's actually bothering you just exchange it.

Don't want to, probably not going to. Just want to know if this is common.
