I don't know, if your leaning towards the AD700s just get them.  Just make sure to get a mixamp as well.

Im sorry, i just am so unsure about which one... Haha

Because of your name I would avoid the AD700. There is non of it. Go for the PC360. It will have proper sounds for games. No bass in games is like no bass in music. Something is missing..The PC360 is just a HD555 Sennheiser in all black with a mic..I have seen those on sale on Amazon for $170 or so . For that price that is a great deal..

Thank you for the advice. My name is a little misleading, as i am more of an exbasshead. Thanks for the suggestion, i appreciate it, and i can see the analogy between the music andgames. Do you know if theres a huge difference between the soundstage between the ad700's and the pc360's? Thank you.

Let me tell you a bit of my own gaming preference.. I am an avid BF3 gamer.. If you want precision in what you hear. The AD700 is not it. It is over rated beyond belief.. The sound stage is too wide and too bass light.. I use a Titanium HD with CMSS-3D mode on and custom eQ and I use several cans.  If you want to try one of the best gaming cans on the planet but with proper stage and proper sounds for games..Ie hearing footsteps and exacting gun fire and most importantly have the best positioning possible.

Try a Samson SR850.. $50.. It is better than the AD700 in every way.. These also have a wide stage but not crazy like the AD700...Seriously the AD700 when an enemy is shooting at you it sounds off because the stage and sound is too spacy... Not only is the Samson cheaper but guess what they have BASS. These are monitor type phones so accuracy is perfect and you will hear every single sounds in game like it was meant to be heard..

The AD700 when a guy shoots you from 20 ft away sometimes it sounds like 25ft. The Samson is dead on perfect. I can detect where from the game a shooter is shooting me at with my eyes closed using the Samsons... The PC360 will do great but IMO. If you want to save some money and get the best possible gaming cans for the cash try a Samson. You will be surprised. I only have one can in my collection that does games better than the Samson. My new AT A900X.. But you will get very similar results for 1/6th of the cost..

I also have the Sennheiser HD595 which is a superior can over the PC360 for games. I would put my Samson over these for gaming.

Thats a pretty bold statement, and i dont think your bluffin. How is the clarity on the samsons? The build quality? I will definitely research these, as i have been reccomended these before, but i didnt really take it seriously, thought it was a joke. Thank you so much.

The Samson SR850 is made by Superlux, so lots of plastic.

Superlux seems to do a good job of "borrowing" other headphone makers ideas.

The build quality of the Samson SR850 is about as good as you can expect with $40 plastic headphones.

They are not bassy headphone, more like a fair share of bass.

It's about the best you can get for $40, I use my SR850 way more then my ATH-AD700s

I listen to music and watch TV & videos, but have not gamed in years.

The ATH-AD700 is more comfortable then the SR850, but not enough to make a difference to me.

I would still use the SR850 over the ATH-AD700s

Hopefully someone makes Velour pads that fit the SR850.

Well you want advice from a guy that has both. You got advice from a guy that has both. I have over 2K hours spent on BC2, alone which don't truly mean much but I will tell you the accuracy on the Samson and 3D positioning is tops. To get this kind of clarity and detail with the right amount of proper wide staging while adding ample amounts of bass for the big canon sounds.Gaming on the Samson SR850 is worth more than what you pay for them.. They easily out perform more expensive gaming cans with dedicated mics. They are actually better than my HD595s for games as well. ..The AD700 isn't terrible for gaming ..

After you get over their signature you will wonder where the bass is.. Gun shells don't thump like it should.  Foot steps are extremely important in shooters and the SR850 has enough of the sound isolated so you can hear closer details a lot better than the AD700..At the price for a Samson they are worth trying out. And music on them are great as well.. They do require a good burn in but for the cost they are better  only my A900X sound better for games.

Thank you for your reply. How do they stand against the pc360's? It doesn't seem to many like they have a super good soundstage, just good for the price.

The HD555 what the PC360s are modeled after are open phone and will have good wide stage for gaming.. That being said. They use the same exact drivers that is in the HD595 and is more similar to a HD555 in sound and specs.. If you can get a PC360 for $170 they had on sale on Amazon. That is a great price for an all inclusive set up with one of the best directional mics on any headphone for clear chatting on line.. If you want to save some cash you can get a decent clip on mic and a Samson SR850 for half the cost of a PC360 and the Samsons will perform just as good if not better for way cheaper. Like I said, I tried my HD595. Those sound great for games with a big wide stage but the Samsons Semi closed sound is more my liking. The sound details that are with in 20 ft to right next to you is so accurate it is spooky..Sound in the whole game actually. You can make out every little sound and exactly where it is coming from... These cans can easily be used for competitive play..

Great, thanks for the advice. I may actually try to get both and do a comparison. Many thanks.
