Bought these on whim, for your basic train ride to work I don't mind. But its far from being the best I have own.

First, I should note that I auditioned these both straight out of the box, without any break-in time and then later after 53 hours of break-in. Recent scientific studies have shown definite...

A very all-round headphone for me. Just the right one to take on the go or on holiday. Also as a DJ, nice noice isolation. Very durable so you don't have to wonder if it will break if you throw...

This quick review is done after a few hours of listening. I bought them from B&H for the decent sum of 150$. If you've done your research you'll find out that Ultrasone HPs are known for their...

That's normal. Mine sort of touched the grill in places. The grill doesn't really matter. If it was touching the diaphragm underneath the grill, then you might have problems!
Yeah, when you wear them the cloth will stretch a bit and touch the grill. No real issues.
What's annoying is when a hair slips through that cloth and the grill.
not that part.
look at the back. the purple aluminum thing with holes. you can see a black cloth underneath it.
it never actually made contact with the purple aluminum shell until recently.
thank you for your efforts in posting up a picture.

Yes, that part is supposed to touch as well. Its just a thin black foam disc that rests against the outer grill. It's the black piece on the left in the pic.
thank you for confirming this. i thought this was the cause of why the sound seems to be more piercing recently.
