Westone 1 Cable repairable/replaceable?

Stalked this forum for a while now and decided to buy the Westone 1 from Earphone Solutions as an entry to the "high-end" IEMs.  I liked them but did not get to enjoy them for long thanks to my dog below.   I contacted Earphone Solutions who then told me to contact Westone who told me that they don't do repairs but they'll sell me another pair for $60 -.-. 

 

Anyways, are my headphones (pictured below) repairable/replaceable for a reasonable price?  The right side is fine but left side is dead.

 

Any help is appreciated.

Doesn't sound too good if the left side is completely dead. Unfortunately the W1 cable isn't replaceable and I'd suggest you to just buy another pair or give other IEMs a try.

Thanks, I just got the X10 and they sound a bit better to me (more bass) and feel even more comfortable.

I'm guessing you got it during the Amazon deal? That's a good deal. I've actually owned both and yes the X10 is lighter and much smaller. The thing I like about Westone IEMs is that I can lie down on the side with them. Do be careful with the X10 cable though as Westone's cable is actually more durable.

Are you any good at soldering? I have repaired my completely severed W3 cable before. Tin both ends, slide some shrink tube on the wire, solder the wire, and shrink the tube around the spot. Not hard to do with just a little experience.
