Is it worth it to get an amp under $50 or so?

Hey Guys, I'm gonna be getting some Audio-Technica ATH-M50s, and I know they'll sound better with an amp, but I don't wanna spend too much, preferably $50 or lower. If I would get one for that price, would it increase the quality of the music to make it worth it?

(btw I'll be listening through an iPod)

From what I recall, the M50s don't really need an amp but something like the Pa2v2 would be worth a shot at $60. :)

I'll leave this to Joker, from his epic Portable Headphones thread:

Part of the reason may be that even though it isn’t the least efficient DJ headphone I own, the M50 still likes plenty of power. For those who would end up going insane asking ‘what if’ when using the ATH-M50 unamped, there’s the Numark PHX Pro. For everyone else, the Audio-Technicas are easily worth the asking price.

If it must be a $60 amp, then the better choices will be FiiO E11 or JDS cmoyBB.
