Just received my TF10's really surprised by how much I like them - The major downfall for me is the horrible rubbery cable, - Just ordered the Jaben ES8 cable as the thin braided type is my favourite (have it on my Miracles)

Bought these on whim, for your basic train ride to work I don't mind. But its far from being the best I have own.

Slightly off topic, how big of a jump is the TF10s to Miracles for you Varley? Night and day?
Definitely not night and day, I'm struggling to find a perfect fit right now with the TF10's and I think the ES8 cables lightness might help - But when I do get a seal/fit the TF10's are really impressive, I've not heard a universal as good for rock and guitars right now
The right angled plugs are a bit of a curve ball, as they change the way they sit in your ears. I normally use the reverse plug method, and I was perfectly fine with how they fit (same as stock, however angles towards your head slightly more.) The actual plugs seem to be the same size as the stock plugs (except a VERY slightly thicker diameter) and fit with no problems. The shroud is a bit long, but I didn't have to shave it down as it fit quite snugly with what was exposed.
They also sound much better than the stock cables... give a much warmer sound. I haven't had time to test them extensively yet, but I can already say they're an improvement. What annoys me is that they still don't sound as good as my cans (modded PC350 headset) but I guess that is to be expected with IEM's. Overall I'm very happy with the purchase, and can say these work well. The only real downside is that you may have to shave down the shroud around the pins for a good fit.

On a side note, can anyone recommend a good set of tips for these besides the comply tips? I like them but they wear out quickly.
EDIT: Playing with the equalizer made them REALLY come to life. I'm impressed now.

I just got the cables in today, first off they look amazing and feel MUCH better than the stock cables. They don't bunch up, retain position memory, etc. Now for compatibility...

Any chance we can see them in ear? Interested in how they sit in the ear with that angle.

thanks! I hear these are an actual improvement on sound quality, unlike Jaben cables.
$75 for chris himself silver core cables seem like not too much over the $30 price of these......
so the POST 2010 cables are the ones that fit, right? Just by looking at the small picture on UE website, I would have guessed the pre-2010...no shroud.

Could it be that the PRE sept 2010 connectors were the right ones for TF10?

i received the post 2010 custom cables for my triple.fi's the other day. they definitely fit. at first it seems the plugs aren't going to go in far enough to be secure but while they are shorter than the stock cable pins, they fit very tightly.
i have always hated the stock cables for their flexibility and these are much better. nice and flexible, just what i missed from my westone um1's. i had the null audio cables a while back but i did not like the sound signature change so i sold them.
these cables definitely change the sound signature. initial impressions are that it is bassier and warmer. i have to listen to more music, right now i am on the fence about the sound change. to me the triples had just the right warmth and bass already but i have to use these longer to know if i am just jarred by the change or what not.
definitely worth the 30 bucks so far though.

ok so i spent 2 hours just going through different styles of music from electronic to classical with these new cables. they are slightly warmer but sound excellent. previously i had just used them for about 30 minutes on and off. great deal for $30. finally, my favorite IEMs have the cable i have missed since my westone days.
Is there any way i could get a cable down here in singapore?

Hey people here. Im using a TF10 pre Sept 2010 version. Just wondering if the pre-Sept 2010 UE CIEM cable(as stated on the web shop) would fit my TF10? Cos im really really interested in them after seeing the photos.
