My entire music library is ripped in uncompressed WAV. I only use iTunes 10.5 for media playback, and I am aware WAV does not allow metadata for album tagging. I'd like to add album art to my files only for playback on my iPhone. Does anyone have any experience converting from WAV to AIFF or 320kbps MP3 for playback on the iPhone? I can't imagine the headphone out in the iPhone is that great, do you think it'd be noticeable whether I ripped to AIFF or MP3 for iPhone playback only so I can tag album art?
Also, does anyone have any recommendations for what freeware audio converter is best to use? I've had good experience with dBpoweramp before but my trial is over and I prefer not to use iTunes integrated converter. Does the JRiver Jukebox convert WAV to AIFF or MP3?
