Hi- Many of you commented on my first post- about why I was considering Bose. "Was" considering. I have done a LOT of reading reviews on here and I've narrowed it down to some that I think are an acceptable price (absolute max $100) and get good reviews. Looking for that "sonic diamond", or at least best bang for buck for my needs. Bear with me, I'm still pretty new and this is still a little confusingblink.gif

I'll try to list all the requirements I think you'll want in one place, let's see...

I already said max $100.

Genres: I listen to everything, really. Exmaples are (no order) electronic, piano, strings, dubstep, country, rock, classic rock, trip hop, hip hop and vocals. Examples by artists are (no order) Massive Attack, Glitch Mob, Sarah Brightman, Colbie Caillat, ZZ Top, Pay Metheny, Bond, Josh Turner, That's a wide range I know, so I need a fairly (what's the word... even? normal?) player across the lows, mids and highs. On occasion I like to feel heavy bass, other times I like the sweet precision of a soloist playing high strings. I like details (called "analytical"?). Basically if it's got low Bass, I want to hear it. If that same song has high Treble, vocals, neat mids, I want to hear all that too! (Who here doesn't?! atsmile.gif)

Comfort/fatigue are also important- want to be able to listen for a few hours when I get in that homework zone.

As much isolation as possible- I have "perfect" hearing and don't want to have to turn it up too high, nor do I want to hear convos around me.

I'll be playing this straight from my iPhone, so a mic would always be good.

I'm pretty good to my stuff- I'd like a carry case to help me keep them protected.

Style is least important, but hey, everyone love showing off.

Can you give me your thoughts as to whether these would be good or bad, and which you suggest? Or if you suggest something else entirely, let me know!!

The ones I have found that I think fit my req's are (in order that I think they'd be good for me):

most of these are from the thread http://www.head-fi.org/a/buying-guide-headphones-by-price-range

Head-Direct RE0 <- these seemed to be the best contenders. What do you think?

Brainwavez M2 (Or other Brainwavz that are in this budget- there are so many?!)

NuForce Ne-700M

What else do you suggest, or would one of these be the best choice?

Oh and-

THANKS!!!!!
