yes iPhone 4 is actually quite a good source. Good luck, i've not got any headphones in that region, but check out Shure SRH840, good unamped, better with amp.

As randomkid said, there's nothing wrong with the iPhone as a source.  Where have you heard that it isn't good?  There are better things out there, but not that much better, and just because better players exist doesn't mean that the iPhone is bad.

Well I was told that IPhone 4 are not so good or atleast decent sources and I can't experience full awesomeness of headphones, so I should be better off with IEMs

iPhone4 is a perfectly decent source from the headphone out if paired with suiteable phones or iems. It will not drive any headphone (dont ask it to drive a HE-6 or K701) but the majority will be fine. It will naturally perform better via lod and an amp and there are better sources around but I'm perfectly happy with it as my main on the go source

I use B&W P5s with my iPhone 4S and it's a fantastic combo. Highly recommended. I also sometimes pair the phone with a Fiio E6 and Sennheiser 598s. Also a nice combo if you're not on the go.

My SR60i's work just fine with my iPhone 4S.

I meant Fiio E7, by the way, not E6. My mistake.

Guys will there be any lots of battery drain when headphones are used with iPhone 4 ?

A friend of mine said something about Ohm rating. He has some  Brainwavz Headphones and it has 32 ohm rating & his iTouch can handle it. So there any ohm rating for iPhone 4 ?

Thanks in advance :)

No, there shouldn't be too much battery drain.  Just running the player will be the biggest battery drain.  You might lose some battery life if you have to max out the volume, but it probably won't be very significant.

For ohm rating, as long as you get headphones with an ohm rating of less than about 80-100, you shouldn't have a problem.  There are some exceptions in both directions, but just read the review threads for the headphones you're interested in to see if they need an amp.  Most headphones designed for portable use are rated for around 30-50 ohms.

Edit: more on ohm ratings - a higher ohm rating just means that you have to feed the headphones more power to get the same volume as headphones with a lower ohm rating.  This is also dependent on sensitivity; the lower the sensitivity, the more power required.  Using headphones with high ohm ratings or low sensitivity won't damage your iPhone.  You just won't be able to get the volume high enough.
