Need some help picking some over ear headphones

. Christmas is coming up and I'm on the look out for some nice headphones! My budget is up too 200 pound. I usually listen to my music off my ipod and phone. The music I listen to is a wide range of things such as Metal, Rock, Jazz and Drum and Bass. I will be buying a small portable amp for the headphones. Any advice would be much appreciated!

I realize you want over ear headphones, but the V Moda M80 and V80 are spectacular headphones.  They are amazingly durable, seal pretty well, and have a killer sound signature.  They are my current recommendation and defeat just about everything else within $100 of their mere $200 price point.  For $200 or $245 ( with custom ear pieces ) you cannot do better.  I was absolutely floored by the quality both in design and sound of the V Moda M80 / V80.
