Headphone amp similar to Asus ST

Hi

 

I would like to ask which amp has exactly or similar sound characteristics as the Asus ST.

 

I plug the DT770 on it and i was amazed.But i didnot amazed by the sound the produce to the Genelecs 8030 so i dont want to buy it.

Well, I wouldn't go so far as to say that the sound is dependent on the output op amp used, but it's known that the Essence ST uses the TPA6130 (and adds a 10 ohms resistor to the output as specified).  FiiO E9 is a commercial mini desktop amp that also uses the TPA6130 as specified, so maybe that would be very similar.  The E9 performance is a little worse I think, due to the other parts used and the implementation of the circuit.

 

Both have around 7V rms max output.
