Little Dot MK II tube upgrades

hey there

i am thinking of getting this to power the AKG K701s. the website offers the following tube upgrades:

  • Upgrade and replace stock 6JI driver tubes with JAN 5654: 15 USD
  • Upgrade and replace stock 6JI driver tubes with M8100/CV4010: 50 USD
  • Upgrade and replace stock 6N6 power tubes with 6H6PI/6H6N: 30 USD

i read on a few posts here that it is recommended to upgrade the tubes. i am pretty new to tube business, so i  would be relying mostly on the expertise of the wise folk here.

would there be alternative tubes that offer a better quality/sound for the price, or are these tubes offered cheaper at local retailers?

This should help you out:

I used it extensively for my MKII as well.
