Which headphones please help? :)

Hi I am looking to buy my first pair of expensive headphones. My budget is around £120 to £160

I have a playstation 3 (optical out, and PC with optical out, and a cheap lg surround system with optical out.

I'm not fussed about wireless but wouldnt mind it.  If sound quality was way better than I would go with wired.

I really want to just get the experience of a surround system in my ears and want that powerful sub woofer bass to be replicated so I can enjoy blu ray movies and if possible feel like I am at the cinema.

I dont need to worry about mic as I have standalone one for ps3 when playing games.

Comfort and durability are important but not essential over sound quality

Ive spent ages looking into this and so many opinions are mixed its driving me crazy lol.

Gaming headsets say they are real dolby digital even on dolby website but are you losing quality to Stereo headsets that have emulated surround that in the price include much better audio.

I have been looking at Tritton Ax Pro and Sony wireless 7.1 MDR DS6500 but finding it very hard to find any reviews on the sony.

Ive also noted Seinnheiser are some of the leading headphones in term of sound clarity and bass.

The most important part of the headphones for me is

Subwoofer bass representation

Complete surround sensation something only heard at cinemas.

Some people comment on gaming needs for footsteps but that is not essential just want it to sound epic lol.

And surround effect to make mp3, you tube music sound amazing.

If anyone can help I would be very appreciative as Im sure you would of had to go through this mammoth task of research and I need to choose in time for xmas lol

Thanks Liam

Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 80-Ohm, full bass headphone.

What devices, if any, were you planning on connecting those optical outputs to.

The Turtle Beach Earforce has an optical input, does Dolby Headphone

Hi thanks for your replys.  My Lg surround system does not have a head phone out.  I have an optical out on pc and optical out on ps3 to connect to.  That is why I was thinking of sony mdr s6500 or tritton ax pro as they have optical connection.

If I was to go for the Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 80-Ohm would I need to connect that to an Astro Mix Amp?

I see the Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 80-Ohm are going to be amazing for bass. will they also be amazing for surround effect for blu rays, and ps3 games?

Ive also looked at the Turtle beach Earforce PX5 but was a little out of the price range.
