Sennheiser pxc 450 vs Shure 940. Need urgent answers

Which one sounds better?. If yes,how much better? Plus do I need an amp? 

 

I kind of need this answer urgently so can anyone give a sweet direct answer?

Usually when sound quality is  the main concern, people avoid noise cancelling headphones.
In an other hand , I don't think the srh940 are designed to please the majority of users.
The srh940  also  needs a good source to shine (dac & perhaps amp too).
I  tried the srh940 on cowon s9, sansa clip+, onboard realtek, and on xonar stx. Only on the xonar stx I  was impressed.
