ATH-ES7 - How far do they fold

I'm looking to upgrade my work-horse walk around headphones; the ones that live in coat pocket and plug into my phone generally without an amp.

I'm currently using some entry-level AKG folders that are great for the $€£ but I really want some decent detail from the next pair. As I think the AKG folding mechanism is the best I've seen I was going to plum for the K518 they seem well regarded. However I'm really tempted by the ATH-ES7. But from the pics I've seen the ATH-ES7 don't look like they fold up inside the headland like the AKG and wouldn't go in a pocket. Could anyone confirm this please?

Right, they don't fold up towards the inside of the headband.

 

The earpieces swivel so that the headphones can be made "flat",

and a vinyl carry bag is provided.
