Newcomer needs help! Help me pick a portable Amplifier.

This is my first thread on this forum and basically i am wondering which portable headphone amplifier to get. I recently bought a pair of Beyerdynamic Dt 880 Pro's and they are the 250 ohm version, I have enough knowledge from using guitar amplifiers and such to know that my ipod will not have enough juice to power it completely. I have been looking at amplifiers such as the iBasso t3 and the Fiio e7, but then i came across an article stating that these are not strong enough to power my headphones correctly. Hopefully you guys can give me some help on what portable amplifiers can. Thanks

If you don't need an amp with a DAC, the iBasso P4 is a real powerhouse and you can change the sound by changing opamp configurations if you so choose. You didn't mention your budget for an amp, so if the P4 is too expensive at $245, there are a number of less expensive choices available.

I would suggest reading thru some of the portable amp threads to get an impression of other folk's opinions on the various portables available.
