I just recently purchased two pairs of headphones to mess around with, the Samson SR850’s and Panasonic RP-HTF600. I am going to be using them with my laptop which has onboard sound, an Ipad 2 and a Sansa Fuze. I was wondering if a portable dac/amp like the Fiio E7 would be worth it for me? If so, is there anything else I would need to purchase to get the best use out of the E7 with my current setup? With this being the Christmas season, my budget is pretty limited so the E7 is about as far as I can stretch right now. Any suggestions would be helpful as I am just starting to get my toe wet in this whole audio thing. Many thanks.
