Apart from the great sound, this cable is nice because it is light and each channel has one cord (and separate conductors within it) rather than 2 separate cords spiraled together. Basically, the wires are simplified vs competing cables which have a bunch of wires braided together, leading to a light, easy-to-use cable.
There are a couple of flaws in this particular cable, though. First, a bit of the right earphone plug's heat shrinking has separated from the rest. You could easily remove it, though the heat shrinking lengths wouldn't match anymore. And second, halfway between the Y junction and the right earphone plug, it looks like there may have been contact with something hot because there is a tiny bit of the outer rubber casing that is missing. It looks to me like there was a tiny bit of melting that left a spot of the conductor exposed, but there doesn't appear to be any damage at all to the conductor itself. I've tried to show it from a couple angles in my pictures.
I'm actually selling this cable for a friend, so I can't really tell the entire story with it.
