Hey!
I'm new to these forums, but I've been seeing a lot of great stuff here. I've always been using cheap in-ear headphones, but after recently trying out my friend's Sennheiser HD555's, I've decided to get a pair of my own. After doing a lot of reading, I decided to purchase the Sennhesier HD518's for $95 on Amazon :)
However, it seems like a lot of you like to pair amps with these things. I've been doing a lot of reading, but it seems like based on your gear, the suggested amp/LOD changes... so I was wondering if I could get some input from you seemingly very knowledgeable people! Also, as strange as it may sound, I feel like more and more questions keep popping in my head the more and more I learn and read about these things...
Anyways, I'll be using an iPod 5.5g 80gb with the aforementioned "cans" (Haha, that is the proper usage, right?). Are there specific equipment (E11/E5/E7, a certain LOD, etc) that you would recommend?
Sorry, but I had one more inquiry as well - I keep my iPod about 80% (~65gb) full, but I find it lags from time to time and sometimes shows the wrong album art. Would you recommend running Rockbox? It seems like it's a very useful replacement firmware.
I know I'm asking for quite a lot, but as I am a muggle in this newly discovered world of music appreciation, I would really appreciate any and all input/feedback ya'll can give me. Thanks!
