Hey Everyone!
Checking to see if there is interest in this set-up. It was a computer rig, but I don't find I use it much, and tuition is right around the corner! I purchased both of these used awhile ago. Superb sound quality, especially for a balanced arrangement. Both units are in good shape with very few marks. A few scratches here and there, and some dust has settled in to the black canyons on the top.
The DAC accepts USB, toslink/optical, and coax. It was a set of RCA and balanced RCA outs. In my side by side comparisons, I thought it performed comparably to a Audio-gd reference 5 I had at the time.
The MKVII is a balanced headphone amplifier. Accepts RCA and XLR inputs, and has a set of gain switches on the bottom. It runs my Denon D7000 all the way through the hifiman HE-6, so you get a range of power. One thing to note is that the gain seems to be uneven for RCA inputs. With the XLR there is a perfectly balanced sound, but for the RCA in, the gain switches need to be changed for one side. Kind of a quirk, but I always used XLRs as is meant for this amp, so no issues for me.
The pictures of the inputs/outputs are borrowed from elsewhere. Didn't get pics of those.
I'm not sure what to ask for this set-up. It costs $750 new from little dot. Please PM me to discuss. As it's finals, I might be a little slow to respond. I'd like $425 +shipping and paypal for both, or $220 for the DAC and $270 for the AMP.
