Center and rear speakers not working while listening to music

Hi!

 

First post on this awesome community.

 

I have creative X-Fi titanium sound card and a 5.1 setup. I never noticed before but today while listening to music I noticed that only front speakers are sounding, no sound was coming from center and rear speakers. I opened creative console and confirmed that all speakers were working fine but only front speakers were sounding while listening to music, Is there anyway I can make all speakers to make sound.

What program are you using to play your music?

Well, the result isn't suprising.  WMP12 only sends audio to the front 2 speakers since that's all the files you're playing contain.  The drivers for the sound card or the OS may have options to expand the 2 channel audio from WMP to 5.1 like DTS NEO or Dolby Pro Logic II Music, but I'm only speculating.
