Fillo e11 is a great amp for the price ,tons of power to drive even my 300 ohm hd650 to a decent sound level even on the low gain setting and the two bass boosts really do add some warmth and mid bass weight to the bass of any phone that is a bit lacking in that erea such as the q701 although you do not need the power or the mid bass boosts of the e11 with the tf10 so i would think something like the zo would be more appropriate .,Maybe Eric can give us an opinion here? .

Good to hear Eric, so is the TF10 a keeper this time around ? , it is still one of my all time favorite phones and hooked up to my headphone setup it sounds just wonderful and gives my full size cans a run for there money ,listening to Mark Knopfler's - Sailing to Philadelphia album with them right now

My ZO2 is being revised atm but it really brings the 5 EB mids forward and the power tightens up their bass. More stage size, better imaging, depth, and detail as well. No reason it won't work the same way with the TF10.

Happy to report that I got my Silver Ray cable an am putting some hours on it. The TF10 are now the most transparent and clear phone I have. I always hear that little slight plastic-like artificial hue on the notes which is now gone. It is always there and is the easiest thing to spot when it is gone. I have recabled a few of my UE phones(4 of the 8) so it is a given and the biggest weakness in this particular TF 10 I just bought. Ultimate transparency isn't going to happen if the stock cable makes the notes sound ever slightly blurred and artificial. Amps can smooth it out and even turn it something creamy and lush sounding but it is always there hurting their resolution capabilities. I am always very happy when it is gone.

Funny thing is now I find them a more worthwhile purchase at $195 than at the $95. They take that jump back up towards the absolute top phones and have a cable that is high class in looks, build, and befits a top phone. A bit of cache if you will is bestowed upon them. UE has that crown in their logo but they just don't seem very regal with the stock cable.

i went with Chris_Himself's cable.  its being built was we speak.  i am a little concerned that its solid core but other than that it looks like a winner. the price is very very good too. if youre gonna go expensive, i liked the TWag for silver and DHC for copper.

I think there are some interesting choices in the Arete, Chris_Himself, Athena, and the Silver Dragon(for a bit more though). A Westone 4R with a Silver Dragon is quite interesting though I wasn't spending that much $$$ atm.

I do feel the TF10 with the Silver Ray does address some of the qualms about the TF10. More depth and separation. The mids are more forward but the effect is minimized since the added depth kinda counters this(everything further away but mids more forward in the mix). The bass thump/power slides down lower towards the sub-bass. Also the better transparency.

+1 on anything Mark Knopfler....I have all of his albums...they sound great on TF 10.

My Chris_Himself cable is at my local PO for Monday delivery.  Average_Joe has it and the TWag as his fav's.

I Have all the dire straits albums and am just getting into his solo stuff,which albums do you recommend , i liked the Philadelphia one and would like to get some others ones which really showcase his electric guitar .?

Does anyone else where the TF10's in opposite ears with the cables switched?

I like "Golden Heart", "Shangri-La", and "Kill to Get Crimson".  One of my favorite test tracks for separation and imaging, "Dire Straits", "On Every Street"/Album, track 6 "You and Your Friend", throws a wide soundstage, precision imaging on the good IEM's.

One of his first albums that is pre Dire Straits, and very interesting...."Missing...Presumed Having a Good Time", "The Notting Hillbillies".

Opposite ears, but I use a Hifiman RE272 cable to switch L/R...

Thanks buddy , i will add those two albums to my to my library in the near future. My favorite track on the ,On Every Street album is , A Ticket To Heaven , a really beautiful song i think ! 

OH ,I did  have the Notting Hillbillies album on cassette when it first came out ,a long time ago, worn out along time ago now ,i must get it again on cd ,thanks for reminding me about that one.
