Hey,
I'm thinking of getting a pair of Sennheiser HD 598, and I'm looking at sound cards/amps. Do you think a Xonar DG would be enough (built in amp supposedly powers 150 ohm cans at max)? I'm getting a sound card mainly for the dolby surround, and the 598 is supposed to be easy to drive (50 ohm). Though according to the appreciation thread the impedance go to about 250 ohms at certain lower frequencies.
Should I go with the budget card, or aim for something higher? DX? STX? What's the best value for money/won't be worthless for a pair of nice headphones like the 598s?
