I know everyone here is passionate about headphones. Since Black Friday is coming up, I was hoping to get a mic to cover songs. I was wondering if anyone knows much about microphones. I am pretty much lost on what I should be looking at. Again, not really sure what I'm doing except that I want to sing. :p Thanks for the help!

Best closed headphones I had heard - very flat response, almost no midrange distortion, very easy to drive (good for portable), good soundstage (definately better than K240), good isolation, but...

Overall excellent buds, very good sound quality, especially for their price, the medium set of tips fits exactly in my ears and provides a near perfect seal. Bass is very detailed, but not...

I'll keep this very short. They are very smooth sounding. Treble toned down so not so good for rock but have a magic about them that makes them better than mark 2. I use them with a '89/'90...

First, I should note that I auditioned these both straight out of the box, without any break-in time and then later after 53 hours of break-in. Recent scientific studies have shown definite...

I don't know a thing about microphones.
However, on the nicolive singers that I stalk follow, the really good sounding singers are using some sort of condenser microphone setup. Keep in mind you'll also need some sort of mixer/preamp that can provide phantom power to the mic.
My advice would be to check out some profiles of singers to see what gear they use and find something that sounds good while falling within your budget. I know Wotamin uses the bluebird microphone, and she sounds stunning live.
Recording technique is also very important, I know some singers with $10 mics that actually sound pretty decent.
Good luck ^^.
How do you check the profiles of those nico singers?
Anyways. Wow those mic sets are expensive. I've spent 400 on an interface + a mic set
