Question for anyone who has replaced a Grado Headband

I have a question regarding the replacement of the Grado headband with a J-Money band or similar product.

Is the action that releases the left or right block a side to side movement as shown in the attached image?

Or do you rotate the band like you would say in prying a paint can lid?

Please note that although the image already has a leather band, I want to do this to my new SR225i.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Thanks for the quick replies.

So you move the metal band toward and away from the steel post? In line with the seams on the block?

Id grab the headband with one hand and do the twisting with the block twist the block sideways the L should always be in the upright position

That is how I interpreted the instructions. I just really don't want to screw up a brand new set of phones.
