I use an Asus Xonar Essence STX, with three LME49860NA op-amps (operational amplifiers).

Also an Onkyo 706B stereo receiver and a Muse EH 6922 headphone amplifier.

what about a portible amp for an ipod? i mean these are the first real nice headphone i am going to get

would a fii0 f11 be good enough? anything else you'd reccomend for little $?

The Fiio E6, E7, E9, E10 and E11 would work.

E11 is getting good reviews.

Rated for 300-Ohms, guess that's more then 250

Read up on the Fiio website.
