Best Buy Promoting Beats By Forcing Staff To Wear Them

I'm not sure if this is a nationwide thing, but I walked into my local Best Buy last weekend to see if I could test out the Klipsch Image One (it was beaten up and not even burnt in anyways when I got there), and to my horror I found the entire staff of the store wearing Beats around their necks. Brainwashing at its finest.

Is this a nationwide thing?

Another Beats bashing thread. **** is getting old. Stuff like this happens all the time for other brands so I don't know why you're singling out Beats.

That's pretty creepy, no matter what headphone is being promoted.

Hehe, i saw this a few months ago, but only one girl was wearing them and i was wondering "why are you wearing headphones aren't you supposed to be working and ringing us up?"...

so did someone pay best buy under the table to make their staffs wear them so they can have a psychological effect on people who come in? i haven't been to best buy for about 2 years, and i don't plan to step in again out of curosity just to see if they are wearing beats.

I don't think anyone had to pay um, stores do all the research to design things to sell n such, like knowing people like to walk to the left when they enter a store and then put the hottest/priciest items on the left side....

How is this different from any other advertising tactic? It's like placing a decal on a Formula One car.

One or more of the following should be true

Bestbuy will have a huge markup on the Beats headphones.

Dr. Dre will give Bestbuy money for advertising Beats.
Dr Dre may have agreements with all Beats retailers that they can not sell below a certain price.

Dr Dre will give Beats retail sellers a kickback for every headphone they sell.
